Oddballs in July

July is here, and with it my card makes for Oddballs Design Team. For some time now I have wanted to work with Lizzy's Halloween stamps, so that is just what I did. Month's ahead of my favorite time of year I created 2 cards for the spooky season. The first one I called Ghoul Friends, I made this card using Lizzy's image #92. It was fun to do up her ghoulish eyes, no need to worry about blending oot her eye. Just those big rings of colour give her Ghoulish look for sure.

The second card I used the image of 66B. I turned this Freekstien creation in to a Frankenteen Rock Star! He plays guitar for a sold out show of the popular "Moldy Bones", reminds me of my days Rock shows and seeing the Moody Blues!!!!

For later in the month I used Frankie # 66 B again and gave him a more manly look. He  and his crow "Nevermore" are lurking around waiting for Halloween to come along.
Maybe they will be going to the Moldy Bones concert!

Sharing some All Dressed Up love

Good afternoon!!! I wanted to share with you a card I just made for an All dressed up challenge. I actually won the stamp for winning a recent challenge. So I thought that I would make up a card and share it. I love steampunk, so I gave her a little "punky" edge. I really wanted to keep that feel going so I kept the colour palette soft and not soft as in pastels. Soft like the colours they would have dressed in the Victorian times.

Guest Designer for All Dressed Up

To my surprise  I have been asked to be a Guest Designer for this months All Dressed Up challenge. The image that I choose is the "3 Little Christmas Girls". When you buy them you get the 3 little girls image along with each character individually. I used the image of the center character all dressed up in her Tutu. I thought that she was just perfect for the card I had in my mind.

I used my Copics, some water colour pencils, ranger distress inks, a couple of other stamps, and a   die cut and some masking fluid in the background.Add some stickles and bling, a ribbon, done!

Reminds me so much of the days when my daughter danced, fun to capture this with the stamp. You can find this lovely as well as many more cute images to play with at

Hop on over and have browse, lots to dream about!

pixies and mushrooms

I have some new cards that I made for Oddball Stamps by Lizzy love! The first one is my take on her lovely image of Nixie the Pixie, image #217. I took some of the components of the  digi stamp and blew them up. That is the really cool thing about using digi stamps, you don't have to use the whole image every time. You can also shrink things or blow them up!!! How fun is that. Anyway here she is Nixie.

I also did something completely different with the image for the next card/tag. For this one I used the mushrooms from #217 and blew them up. I also swapped Nixie out for Hadley #110B. I did not use the clouds and I also reversed the image of Hadley. The over all feel is more like an Alice in wonderland, with a little bit of steampunk thrown in for good measure.

Happy Mothers Day with ADU

I just found "All Dressed Up" digital stamps. I am so new to the digi world that it seems everyday I learn about a new (to me) site. Their current challenge is to make a Mothers Day card. The image that I chose is "I Love my Puppy". I chose this image because my mom loves dogs. We always had a dog growing up and I had a dog of my own "Amy" who lived to the ripe old age of 15. These days mom lives in an assisted living complex. so no more puppies.

My card is a simple one, kind of shabbied up a bit, coloured with Copics, the flower is a Tim die, the sentiment is one i did up on a word program. Doing a shabby gives me the opportunity to use up scraps and my stash. This sweet image lent itself to the colour palette that  I chose, bright, colourful and most of all Happy!!!

You too can get this  fabby little girl and her puppy along with many more here.     http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/210041806/scrapbooking.html

Hip to be square,shabby style!!!

Here is my card for Oddball DT for Facebook, mid May reminder. The images that I used by Lizzy love are #203 and #110B. I found myself in a Shabby Chic mood, so I pulled some scraps (because that is all you really need). Roughed up the edges, applied some of Tims distress inks , gave everything a good spritz of water and let the magic happen. The "roses" are a direct inspiration from the bow in her hair, infact that is what led to ordering her.I "saw" the roses in my head and knew I needed to make them fo this card. I used the same distress inking on them, add a pearl or two okay three, and a bow. The sentiment is from Graphic 45, the back ground is found in #203 and I backed it all the a scallop shape. I used water colour paper for the card and water coloured it.  it was fun to do something shabby for a change, if you have not tried it , give it a go sometime.

Oddball stamps DT facebook team

As you know by now that I have been doing some designing for Oddball Art Stamps co.. I am on their facebook team which means that I make "something" and post twice a month. So this will be for my mid month post, an inspiration if you wish. I did up 2 tags, for both tags I have gone back to my scrapping roots . I used the same sentiment stamp set for both.

Time for Tiddly Inks!

Hey all, here is a tag that I made for Tiddly Inks, she is called "Owlette". She reminds me of "Clara" for Back to the Future 3, so I dressed her that way. I love the Victorian Era and as it was such an opulent period of time, I only feel a little naughty for putting soooo much onto this creation, but that is just the way it is. The materials that I used are a Tim Holtz tag, a couple of sizzix dies for the background papers, the frame is from a old package of My Minds Eye, some Graphic 45 metal staples, some K&Company embellies, petal poo flowers, Liquid Pearls from Ranger Ink, Tim's Distress inks, hat netting. you can never have too much stash and of course lots of Copics.

You can find this lovely and many more at http://tiddlyinks.com/digital-stamps/
Cheers!
